Resource Model Confirmation Methods. Opportunities and Limitations.
The resource model represents one of the results of mineral resources estimation. The JORC Code defines mineral resources estimation not as an accurate calculation but as an estimation which depends on interpretation of the limited amount of information on location, shape, consistency and existing assay data. Thus, the resource model has relative uncertainties of estimation. On the other hand, it is the basis for commercial development of the deposit, and the quality of the model is critical for correctness of all subsequent design solutions. This results in the intent to estimate the limits of the current uncertainty and associated risk level. It is for this reason all resources estimation reports prepared in conformity with international reporting requirements should contain the Resource Model Confirmation section. Within this report we are going to review the methods for resource model confirmation and their results.
