Deep Discoveries – Modern practices and approaches to discovering new deposits.
Declining numbers of mineral deposits are being found at surface, with many deposits now being located beneath thick sequences of cover. This presents a challenge to exploration companies which can sometimes fail to identify the presence of concealed deposits using some traditional exploration techniques.
This presentation will discuss several methodologies of modern exploration techniques which can successfully be used to aid the identification of deeply buried or concealed mineral deposits. Case studies will be discussed to illustrate any specific successes made using these techniques together with suggestions for where these methodologies could be most effective.
