Mineral potential mapping at different stages of exploration: approaches and solutions
Forecasting mineralization by the integration of several geophysical methods is one of the most important tasks at all stages of geological prospecting. In solving this problem, the combination of two alternative approaches is most effective: mapping of various geological and geophysical factors controlling mineralization, and thus - indirect localization of preferred areas, and an automated forecast methods using machine learning algorithms with training on reference objects.
An important role in the implementation of both approaches is played by the methods of processing and interpreting geophysical data. At the regional stage of prospecting, the most effective is the use of statistical methods, when performing local exploration stage - methods of direct 3D modeling.
