Sergey Stanovkin was born in Krasnoyarsk, July 15, 1966. He graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1989. Year later he graduated from Moscow Academy of Foreign Trade with a degree in international trade. He lives in London since 1990.
 He was appointed Head of Commercial Representative Office of BBC World News in Russia in January 2006. Prior to his appointment at BBC World News, he held a position of Managing Director of Dars Consulting (UK) Ltd. leading projects on corporate branding as well as strategic communications, PR, GR and IR. 
Currently, he is Managing Partner in Consulting and Communications division of Dars Consulting (UK) Ltd. and he is Executive Producer in DARS FILMS Studio. He works as a TV producer since 2011 when his first 12 months project of monthly programmes Russia Business Report was broadcasted on the BBC World News TV.

Companies compete for investments, for projects, for talents and staff, for sympathy in the country they operate and globally, for the attention of the media, international political, economic, environmental and industry organisations, rating agencies and analysts. Competition is also a communication phenomenon. It is not enough to implement the project, it is important to report it. At the same time, communications should be segmented both by geographic principle and by specific target audiences. It is not the task of representatives of target groups to learn about the competitive advantages of a particular company, but it is the company's task to find the best options for regular communications with its target audiences.
