Historic review of exploration activities within Krasny project as an example of succesful project development by a junior company
Development of exploration activities within junior exploration company more than anywhere else is split in stages. In order to achieve the strategic target of production start-up, successful exploration activities within market environment are based on settlement of specific targets with clearly identified expected results and timing. At first stage activities are focused on evaluation of natural properties of the target, at the second stage - of economic parameters. Assessment of natural properties of the target (geometrical parameters, grades and processing characteristics) is quantified and based on the specific task to achieve, its solutions and verification of the results achieved against target. Within the scope of exploration activities within Krasny and dependent on the stage of project development, such specific tasks were represented by separate mine workings, groups of mine workings, separate samples, separate stages with complex exploration activities. Development of each task was closely monitored and adjusted based on the results received. This allowed to efficiently estimate two gold projects with total exploration potential of 90 tons of bedrock gold upon spending 18 MUSD.
