Dr. Andrey Minkin (PMP) is the Head of Project & Engineering Office of Continental ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group (CBG) in Moscow. In his role as the country manager of Conveyor Belt Group Dr. Minkin coordinates all CBG activities in Russia and CIS.
Dr. Minkin received his degree in Materials Handling at the State Technical University "N.E. Bauman", Moscow, Russia and his PhD at the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, Germany in the field of bulk solids handling & conveyor technology. He joined ContiTech CBG in Northeim (Germany) as Application Engineer & Project Manager in 2006. As a Key Application Engineer of CBG Dr. Minkin was responsible for a lot of sophisticated engineering projects worldwide over many years. He is author of over 20 technical papers in the field of bulk solids handling and several embedded patents in conveyor technology, Research Prize Laureate of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Magdeburg (Germany) and the active member of the Project Management Institute (USA).
Usage of high-tech Continental conveyor belts for design of modern long-distance conveyors: CAPEX/OPEX and comparison with heavy-duty trucks
Presentation shows the most interesting infrastructure projects in the world practice using long-distance conveyors for transportation of coal and ore, equipped with energy-optimized conveyor belts of Continental. Results of calculation of economic efficiency acc. to CAPEX / OPEX and a comparison with heavy-duty trucks are presented.
