Graduated from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (State University) in 1976. In 1976-1992 he worked at National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), where he passed the path from a trainee researcher to an associate professor. C 1992-2010 he held various post in the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. From 2010 to the present he has been working at "Rosatom" State corporation .
The author of more than 100 scientific works, including 32 published abroad. Subjects of scientific works: diagnostics of materials and structures in various industries, conversion of depleted uranium hexafluoride, exploration of sources and extraction of precious, radioactive, rare and rare-earth metals, ore dressing, processing of ore concentrates, obtaining products using rare and rare-earth metals, fluoride technologies.
Professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR.
