ANALYTICAL SESSION: RUSSIAN MINING INDUSTRY IN THE EYES OF THE INTERNATIONAL INVESTORS

3 October / 14:30 – 16:00  Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel, Europe Sq. 2, Moscow 121059, Russia – «Pushkin»   (open admission)

Today, to attract an international investor to the country it is not enough to create a legislative base and to provide access to energy supplies and infrastructure. The investor chooses the country not only on technical and technological parameters but on the basis of the established stereotypes. Excellent conditions and tax incentives often are not enough. The investor selects a country he or she is ready to be associated with for many years. Without a positive image of a country, it is impossible to create an attractive image of a separate industry. However, by projecting positive news the national industry can form a positive information field and thereby strengthen the positive components that form country stereotypes. The Russian economy is largely responsible today for strengthening Russia’s investment image and its investment attractiveness.
